How to Uinstall and Reinstall A Programme

Sometimes, virus or malware can damage programmes and applications and cause the programmes to terminate or fail to open. In such case, the best way to solve the problem is uninstall and reinstall the applications. In this article, we will discuss how to uninstall and reinstall a programme through different ways.

 

HOW TO UNINSTALL AN APPLICATION:

 

Method 1: Uninstall through control panel.

This is the most popular way to uninstall a programme and is always useful. To remove a programme from control panel, you have to

1.click start button

2. click control panel

3. click add and remove programmes in control panel

4. find the programme you want to uninstall

5. click uninstall to delete the application from your system

 

Method 2: Uninstall from the programme’s install folder

Many programme will defaultly include an executable file for uninstallation in its folder. This file is made specifically for the application and will normally work. If you can’t uninstall a programme from Control Panel, you will find it useful to uninstall throught this small executable file from manufacturer. Don’t bother to find the install folder. Just click start button, all programmes, find the programme name, left click it and you will find uninstall option.

 

Method 3: Uninstall with the help of a registry cleaner

If you cannot uninstall the programme through control panel or the default uninstall file from the programme, it may possibly because the registry of the application is corrupted and the uninstall function could not be brought up. To solve this problem, you will have to fix the corrupted registry first. If you are not familiar enough with registry edit, it is highly recommended that you use a registry fixer to help you.  Such tool also has a strong removal function for some malware or programmes designed to be never removable.

 

HOW TO REINSTALL A PROGRAMME

To reinstall a programme, you have two ways: Use an install disc or download the setup file from the website. The disc contains the original setup file and it may be old and outdated. It is better to download latest file from the manufacturer’s website.
