How to Fix “magcore.dll is missing” Error

 

MagCore.dll is a file within ArcSoft programs, which are mainly video & audio editing tools. Despite this file playing an important role in the smooth operation of various pieces of ArcSoft software, it’s also common for it to either be damaged, corrupted or unreadable – resulting in numerous errors appearing on your system. To resolve this problem, you should evaluate the errors and repair the corrupted file itself or any registry errors that cause the system errors.

 

Normally, the symptom of Magcore.dll error will show as below:

  • “The file magcore.dll missing”
  • MagCore.dll cannot be found

 

Solution

 

Step One:  Uninstall and reinstall ArcSoft programmes.

Although this solution seems very simple and not reliable, it is always very effective and should be the first solution to be considered. By uninstalling and reinstalling the programmes, the corrupted registry and files will be wiped out and new registry rewritten. It will solve the problem which is caused by file or registry corrupted.

To reinstall ArcSoft Software:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Double click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Right click the ArcSoft software installed on your computer and click Remove/Uninstall.
  5. Restart Windows.
  6. Install the ArcSoft software from either the installation CD/DVD or download the software from the Web.

 

Step Two:  Download and run a registry fixer

As mentioned above, the problem may be caused by registry problem. It is recommended that you download and install a registry cleaner to detect and fix the errors for you. It is much safer and effective in solving your errors.
