How To Run System File Checker

 

System file checker is a tool inserted in Windows system to help users check the system files, detect missing files and offer solution to fix the system.  With this tool, problems such as dll missing, blue screen or update errors may be fixed very easily.

 

To run the system file checker,

  1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
  2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
    sfc /scannow

    The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

 

It is always recommended that you install a registry fixer to clean the system errors. If you have dll missing, blue screen or shutdown problem, a registry cleaner will be of great help for you. If these errors are not fixed in time, there will be more serious problems come up.
