Solution For Hpslpsvc32.dll

Hpslpsvc32.dll is the library file in hp digital imaging programme or hp network device support, whose main function is to monitor the state and configuration of the HP devices attached to a network.

During installation of a hp printer, such as C4580, you may get an error discribed as below:

"Fatal error during installation Module C:\Program Files\HP\DigitalImaging\bin\HPSLPSVC32.DLL failed to register.”

To solve this issue, follow below steps:

Step one: Temporarily disable your protective software

Turn off the protective software in your computer, such as Firewall, antivirus and antispyware and then try the hp installation again. Some protective software tools are known to interfere with the HP printer’s installation.

If the problem is caused by your protective tools, then temporarily disabling them should do the trick. You can enable these tools after you install the printer. As a precaution, do not browse the Internet during the time you disable your protective tool.

Step Two: Give the Svchost registry full permission

It is already admitted by Hp that the svchost registry, if not given administrative permission, can cause the installation to fail. Thus, to solve the issue, you will need to grant permission for the registry by below steps:

  • Click start button
  • Press Run button or Search box
  • Type regedit and press enter
  • Next, navigate to the following registry entry
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows NT -> SvcHost
  • Right-click SvcHost in the left pane and click Permissions.
  • Verify the permissions of Administrator and Users on this folder.
  • To give Administrator Full Control rights, select Administrator.
  • Next, in Permissions for Administrators box select the checkbox against Full Control and click Apply.
  • To give Users Full Control rights, select Users.
  • Next, select the checkbox against Full Control and press Applyto save your changes.
  • Click Ok.
  • Next, click File and then click Exit to close the registry editor.
  • Now install the HP printer.

Step Three: Fix the registry automatically.

If you cannot solve the problem with above two steps, or you do not know how to perform step two, get a registry fixer to help you. It will automatically detect the registry errors and fix it for you within seconds. You will need to log on windows as administrator to run such tool. It is simple and effective in resolving the errors.
